\n<\/strong><\/span>SARI\/EI and BIMSTEC organized the conference on \u201cEnhancing Energy Cooperation in the BIMSTEC Region\u201d to facilitate the efforts in achieving their common goal of promoting regional energy cooperation and advancing cross border energy trade in the region.<\/span>

\n<\/strong><\/span>The conference brought together more than 50 experts and decision makers from the power sector across South Asia, including the Chairpersons and CEOs of Regulatory Commissions of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and Chairpersons of several State Electricity Regulatory Commissions in India.

South Asian Electricity Regulators\u2019 Exchange: Towards Institutionalizing a Regional Energy Regulators\u2019 Forum

\n<\/span>During the Exchange, the SARI\/EI team recapitulated the findings of its Reports on a) “Regional Energy\/Electricity Regulatory Institutional Mechanism in South Asia: South Asia Forum of Electricity\/ Energy Regulators” and b) Regional Regulatory Guideline.

Regional conference on Enhancing Energy Cooperation and Integration in South Asia- 30th-31st August\u20192018, New Delhi
