Manya Shukla
Manya Shukla is an urban planner and architect with over two years of experience in urban planning and sustainable development, climate resilience, environmental frameworks, and transportation planning. She specialises in data-driven policy framework and evidence-based decision making towards heat action planning, climate change, low carbon mobility, transit-oriented development (TOD), real estate planning frameworks, and environment and ecological conservation.
Manya has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NIT Bhopal and Master’s degree in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur, and has secured an AIR 17 in GATE 2025. She is passionate about transportation and transit infrastructure planning, sustainable development, quantitative methodologies, and spatial and data analytics. Her core strengths lie in strong primary and secondary research, involving GIS and remote sensing (ArcGIS and QGIS), data analytical tools (SPSS and MS Excel), and data visualisation (Adobe Creative Clouds).
Manya is currently working as a Research Assistant at IRADe towards heat action plans and policy frameworks for early warning systems, urban ecosystem accounting, planning strategies for Viksit Bharat, and climate mitigation and adaptation frameworks. Her previous projects include development choice modelling for real estate developers, multimodal urban transportation systems, physical infrastructure mapping and projections for comprehensive development plans, and commercial development strategies and technical consideration.
