Ms. Sai Rama Kamalamrutha Mokkarala
Ms. Sai Rama Kamalamrutha Mokkarala is a Geospatial Engineer with a Master’s specialization in Disaster Mitigation and Management from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and is UGC-NET qualified in Disaster Management.
She is currently working as a Research Assistant at Integrated Research and Action for Development(IRADe), where she is engaged in developing spatial data-driven insights and strategies aimed at enhancing urban resilience and promoting sustainable planning efforts.
At IRADe, her professional experience includes contributing to projects on Heat Action Plans through advanced geospatial analysis for assessing urban heat island (UHI) dynamics using remote sensing satellite datasets.
She is also involved in research on the sectoral impacts of heat stress through literature review, data synthesis, and stakeholder engagement.
Her broader research interests include multi-hazard risk modelling, urban growth analysis, urban Heat Island assessment and the application of AI/ML in geospatial frameworks for sustainable and resilient city planning.
