Sudershan Singh
Sudershan Singh is an economist with extensive experience in policy analysis, competition economics, and development research. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from CSJM University, Kanpur.
Over his career, Sudershan has worked with institutions such as the Competition Commission of India, the Indian Institute of Dalit Studies, and Benori Knowledge Services. His work spans labour economics, poverty and inequality, and social inclusion, with a strong focus on the intersections of caste and gender.
He has published in reputed journals including the Journal of Quantitative Economics, Indian Journal of Human Development, and Indian Journal of Labour Economics, with research exploring household energy use, inequality, labour markets, and socio-religious disparities.
Currently at IRADe, Sudershan is engaged in research on the net zero transition of various sectors of the Indian economy, examining the economic and social dimensions of the shift to sustainable mobility and clean energy. His work also investigates the broader impacts of climate change on different sections of society, with particular emphasis on equity, resilience, and inclusive growth.
